K.M. Photography was established in 2003 by Kathy Matus and Jacqueline Shay. After working with various studios throughout our careers, we created a studio that reflects our love of photography. Our goal is to achieve a connection with our brides that extends far beyond the wedding day. We limit our workload to photographing one event a day, giving our brides the personal attention we feel they deserve on such a special day.
K.M. Photography specializes in wedding photography. Our brides often find they include us in their future special moments, such as maternity photos and family portraits. Each clients personality is truly reflected as we capture their event in a professional artistic style.
Kathy Matus has been photographing weddings since 1991. She contributes over a decade of experience in guiding the couple through the most special of days. Her artistic eye for detail combined with her creative style ensures that no detail is overlooked. Kathy is continuously furthering her knowledge in all areas of digital design and Photoshop techniques.
Jaqueline Shay has been photographing weddings since 1999 and has an Associates Degree from Paier College of Art. She has studied all aspects of photography and album design. She also adds the expertise of the latest digital advancements and has a solid understanding in Photoshop. She has a fresh perspective and is knowledgeable of the latest trends in the bridal industry that meet the needs of the modern day bride.
Kathy and Jacqueline are both active members in the photographic community. Kathy and Jacqueline are current members of PPA and NAPP, which allows them to advance as the wedding industry progresses. Their studio is recommended as a preferred vendor by several banquet facilities including: Woodwinds, Saybrook Point Inn, Cascades & Anthony's Ocean View.
Our studio offers a mix of classic and photojournalistic photography, which is achieved through the perspective of two female photographers that capture every angle and candid expression. We offer our clients unique albums that allow as much artistic input to their design as they wish to contribute. Our albums are custim designed, ensuring our albums are as memorable as the wedding day.
